We are a small, local garden focused on working with the land and our natural resources to help foster a biodiverse ecosystem for native pollinators and all insects. Just as important as what’s growing and blooming above ground, we feel strongly that success only comes when you look below the surface. That’s why we are committed to organic gardening and experimenting with techniques like hugelkultur and permaculture instead of flattening the earth for row gardening. These methods are known to help retain moisture, which brings in the benefits of worms and other animals, such as isopods and centipedes that feed on decaying matter and then turn that into usable carbon, phosphorus, and nitrogen, the essentials for all plant life. This symbiotic relationship enriches and fertilizes our plants without the need for chemicals, allowing us to grow a diverse flower garden for cut bouquets for life’s special events, hardy perennials to enhance landscapes with a focus on drought tolerant species specific to our zone, and heirloom vegetable varieties that are not readily available in most nurseries or box stores, let alone our local markets. Whether you’re an experienced home gardener with lots of space, a novice with a small patio, or anyone in between, we believe we have something to offer to bring the joy of plants to your home!
